Azusa Canyon Family Fun Day & Amateur Crawl Competition
This past weekend we attended one of our favorite family events, The Family Fun BBQ in Azusa Canyon hosted by ACORA. It’s a great event to get everyone together to relax and have some fun with friends with out any major itinerary or agenda. Lots of industry friends come out to enjoy the day in the canyon and check out the vendors. This year we were honored with the task of setting up the courses for the amateur rock crawl competition. It is a WE Rock style competition but we trim down the scoring process to give the amateurs a chance to think outside the box. The two coolest moves were watching competitors try front dig for the first time and backing through a gate to do their best at avoiding the cones. We would like to thank Mike Bishop of Azusa Canyon Off Road Association and the rest of their group for putting this event together. We would also like to thank all the competitors for coming out and running the risk of breaking their junk on the course to have a good time. And a very special thank you to David Gillespieat Sharq Skinz for getting our new wrap done in time and bringing the Turtle home for us to show it off at this event.
Trail Hero — The Turtle Visits Sandhollow State Park, Utah
The weekend did not go as planned, with a broken sector shaft preventing us from wheeling as we would have liked. But it was great to be out at the Trail Hero event with all our friends, seeing the sights, taking part in all of the fun and watching the races. We will look forward to heading out to Utah again in the coming months to get our share of those awesome red rock mountains!
